Running Sugary Cove Crystals, people often ask me, “Which crystals are your favourite?” Truth is, it changes depending on where I’m at in life — because crystals have this beautiful way of showing up when you need them most. But there are three that always stay close to my heart: Labradorite, Chrysocolla, and Pink Amethyst.
They’re very different stones, but each has its own magic, story, and energy. Let me tell you why they matter so much to me.
Labradorite – The Stone of Transformation
If I could only ever keep one crystal, it might just be Labradorite. The first time I held a piece and saw those flashes of blue, green and gold, it felt like holding a slice of the northern lights.
Energetically, Labradorite is the ultimate protector of your aura. It’s like a shield against negativity, but not in a heavy, wall-building way. It’s more like walking through the world wrapped in shimmering light. Whenever life feels overwhelming or I need to lean into change and transformation, Labradorite is the crystal I reach for.
💫 My tip: Keep a tumble in your pocket during times of transition. It helps you stay grounded while reminding you of the magic waiting to unfold. I keep a tumble in my handbag.
Chrysocolla – The Gentle Truth Teller
Chrysocolla has a softer, feminine energy that I adore. Its swirling turquoise and green tones feel like the ocean meeting the land — soothing, flowing, honest.
This crystal is deeply connected to communication and truth. Not the fiery kind of truth that burns bridges, but the gentle kind that speaks from the heart. It helps calm messy emotions and gives you the clarity to express yourself with kindness.
For me, Chrysocolla feels like a supportive friend who sits beside you, puts a hand on your shoulder, and says, “You’ve got this, speak your truth.”
💫 My tip: Keep Chrysocolla nearby if you struggle with difficult conversations or want to speak from a place of calm confidence.
Pink Amethyst – The Soft Warrior
Pink Amethyst is relatively new on the crystal scene compared to the others, but it’s stolen my heart completely. Its dreamy shades of blush and lavender are as gentle as rose quartz, but it carries an amethyst-like wisdom that makes it extra special.
What I love most is that Pink Amethyst holds both softness and strength. It’s protective and stabilising, but without any harsh edges. When my energy feels frayed or I need to rest my nervous system, Pink Amethyst is the stone I turn to.
It’s like a reminder that being gentle doesn’t mean being weak — in fact, softness can be the strongest shield of all. This stone has grown on me over the five years of running this business, I am not the kind of person to fall for the 'pink thing' but the soft and solid energy of this stone has me buying a fair few pieces which are dotted around my home.
💫 My tip: Place Pink Amethyst in your bedroom or sacred space to create a peaceful, loving atmosphere.
Why These Three?
Labradorite, Chrysocolla, and Pink Amethyst might look very different, but they have a thread in common: they each help you navigate life with a blend of protection, truth, and gentleness.
They remind me that transformation doesn’t have to be scary, that honesty doesn’t have to be harsh, and that strength doesn’t have to be loud.
