This week, Sugary Cove Crystals turns four years old – and what a journey it has been.
Sugary Cove began in the most unexpected of ways, in my daughter’s spare bedroom, just after my granddaughter was born. Like so many people in that strange, uncertain time, we were searching for something that gave us purpose, joy, and connection. Crystals had always been a shared passion, so we decided to bring our skills together and create a business that would not only fit around caring for a new baby but also allow us to share the beauty and energy of crystals with others.
The early days were full of excitement and learning curves. We poured our hearts into every order, every collection, every little detail. There were highs that made us beam with pride and lows that tested our resilience. In January 2023, life shifted again when my daughter chose to step away from the business. I made the leap to buy her out and continue Sugary Cove Crystals on my own.
From there, things moved quickly. I took the brave step and opened a physical shop. That chapter was short-lived – running a store just off the high street turned out to be tougher than expected. It was a huge learning experience, and while it wasn’t sustainable, I’m proud of what I created and grateful for everything it taught me.
Now, four years on, Sugary Cove Crystals has come full circle. I’m back in a spare bedroom, running the business part-time, holding space for it to grow at a pace that feels right. What started as a way to create balance between family and passion has evolved into something deeply personal – a business built on love, resilience, creativity, and the magic of crystals.
So today, I want to celebrate not just this anniversary, but every twist and turn that brought me here. To the people who’ve supported Sugary Cove along the way – whether you’ve been here since the very beginning or just discovered us – thank you. Your kindness, encouragement, and love for crystals make this all worthwhile.
